In comparison to the 3D flight animation, on a walkthrough we leave the predefined “camera track” and we are able move around freely in the virtual space. It is possible to walk and explore through the entire location on your own. You can navigate through all areas, come to a standstill wherever you want and view the position from a different angle or go on stage to see the perspective of the artist. The 3D model can be opened in any WebGL2 compatible web browser (such as Firefox, Chrome, MS Edge, etc).

HOW IT WORKS

Likewise, there is the option to receive the 3D model as an executable .exe file. You can open it at any time on your windows computer independently from your internet access. With a little bit of practice you will be quickly able to navigate confidently through the virtual tour on your own: Easier as in modern video games, here you can navigate by just using the mouse, the arrow keys and optionally another couple of shortcuts.

No matter if online or as standalone, when you’re doing the virtual walk-through the same rules apply as in real life, which makes the experience even more realistic: Doors have to be open to be able to pass through them, walking towards walls and windows leads to collision and differences in height as with podiums or accessing other floor levels can only be overcome by using stairs.

You can change between fly- and walk-through mode by pressing the space key. On fly-through mode you can pass through any obstacles such as furniture, windows and walls. To display a cheatsheet of all navigation options just press H on your keyboard. For a location overview press M for map.

PRACTICE TIP:

Often when doing a presentation for a client, you already have many other priorities to focus your attention on. Guaranteeing a smooth navigation through the virtual model does not have to hold you back from your actual duties. We also offer the service to run the walk-through for you during the presentation, maximally resource-efficient via online remote control.
